Talking Writing is an online literary magazine based in the Boston area. TW features work that is losing ground in mainstream magazines: essays, poetry, fiction, think pieces, and visual art. We seek strong new voices; we also solicit work from established writers and artists.

We encourage many points of view about literary culture—the more provocative, the better. TW is also a 501(3)c nonprofit organization, one whose mission is to support high-quality writing online by publishing it in an engaging digital format. Nonfiction features are developed and assigned by professional editors.

AT AWP 2014 in Seattle, Talking Writing presented three panel sessions: "Literary Politics," "First-Person Journalism," and "Digital Lit." The topics of these panels provide an overview of TW's perspective on literary culture and the interests of its editors.
