We seek poems that are diverse and fresh, daring and carefully crafted. We seek no particular subject matter; send us 3-5 unpublished poems that surprise us, remind us of what poetry is and takes us to the buried heart of the human condition.
We currently seek creative essays/memoirs with an emphasis on the interaction of place and one’s personal relationship to it. See examples in most recent issues. Writers are asked to do a follow up interview (via email). We’re looking for strong writing and emotional content.
We are looking for short stories that engage us with a strong voice, memorable characters and a clear sense of time and place. We’re open to experimental forms but favor traditional, literary fiction. Please send one story at a time, 4000 words max.
