Dogwood: A Journal of Poetry and Prose was founded in 2001 by Michael C. White and Kim Bridgford at Fairfield University, who served as co-editors. The journal was later co-edited by Kim Bridgford and Peter Duval. Volume 10 published in 2010 was the journal’s tenth anniversary.
From 2010-2011, the journal was on hiatus.
Dogwood resumed publication in 2011, and its annual contest, with editor Sonya Huber.
