The Canary Press is a story magazine run by a group of dedicated, slightly-homeless magazine moguls. It was founded by Robert Skinner and Andy Josselyn, on the back porch of their shared apartment, in an elaborate attempt to avoid doing the dishes. It has been running shambolically since then. We spend a lot of time huddled around in our cold office trying to unjam the printer, but every 3 months we put out a magazine of the best damn stories we can find.
We publish new and emerging writers alongside the likes of Jim Shepard, Josephine Rowe, Margo Lanagan, Ryan O'Neill, Tim O'Brien, Annie Proulx and George Saunders.
