After teaching middle school Language Arts, high school Creative Writing, and visiting schools as a guest poetry teacher to spread a love for language, Jenelle decided to get married, pack up everything I owned in her car, and drive from Massachusetts to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing at Mills College. During her time at Mills, she worked as the Poetry Editor of 580 Split and as a Composition Teaching Assistant in both the college's writing center and in a Composition course. She enjoys coaching students in the writing practice, both creative and critical, but most of all she loves pursuing her personal writing in the genres of Poetry and Creative Non-Fiction.
