Did You Know The Review Review Makes House Calls?
(The Review Review - August, 2014)
We love talking to people about the ins and outs of submitting to literary magazines. We have visited MFA programs, local libraries, writing workshops and conferences all over the country to talk to students and writers about the process of submitting work and getting published.
Would you like us to come to your classroom?
Might your writing workshop benefit from a lesson on navigating the world of lit mags?
We can come in person or connect via Skype or Wizeo.
“Becky's visit to our MFA program at CalArts was an excellent opportunity for us to gain insight into the world of lit mags! As writers, it's so hard to know where to even start looking for places to submit to—the sheer number of possible outlets can be overwhelming. Becky Tuch is an expert when it comes to knowing what lit mags look for in submissions, and how writers should go about seeking out this information. She's given us valuable tips on what it takes to find the perfect home for our work!” - Katie Browne, CA
“Few have as good a sense of the landscape of literary publications as Becky Tuch who is a treasure trove of wisdom, straight talk and practical advice on the subject.” - Ellen Blum Barish, IL
"Becky Tuch's skype visit to our graduate publishing class here at the University of Southern Mississippi offered students a valuable view of the world of literary publishing from a new angle and introduced students to new opportunities for publishing both creative work and reviews. Many of the students became reviewers for the Review Review after her terrific classroom visit." - Rebecca Morgan Frank, Assistant Professor of English, The University of Southern Mississippi
“Hearing Becky talk about literary magazines was awesome. I learned a lot, it made me feel more comfortable about submitting, and there were free lit mags!” - Aleph Altman-Mills, MA
